The Texas Sales Agent exam has two portions — a National portion with 85 questions and a State Law portion with 40 scored questions (plus 10 pretest items). You must score at least 70% on each portion separately to pass.
You need a minimum score of 70% on both the National and State Law portions. You must pass both — a high score on one does not compensate for a low score on the other. Our simulator tracks your score by category so you know exactly where to focus.
The Texas Real Estate exam is challenging, with many first-time candidates needing to retake one or both portions. The key to passing is consistent practice with real exam format questions and understanding both the national concepts and Texas-specific law. Our simulator covers both.
The Texas exam covers 7 national topics including property ownership, contracts, agency, financing, valuation, disclosures, and real estate practice — plus 6 Texas state law topics including TREC rules, licensing, standards of conduct, agency, contracts, and special topics like homestead, DTPA, and HOAs.
You can retake each portion of the Texas exam as many times as needed within one year of your application approval. If you fail both portions you must wait 30 days before retesting. Most students who use a practice simulator pass within their first two attempts.
